Bonjour,

This series of original drawings and paintings, titled "PIERROT" focus on the iconic French character rooted in the commedia dell’arte (Italian comedy). With his gentle melancholy, he has left an indelible mark on me since a young age.

PIERROT ET L'ETREINTE PERDUE

This piece centers around Pierrot, framed within the moon—a recurring symbol often associated with his solitude. Pierrot is depicted with closed eyes, tenderly embracing a cut-out silhouette that represents an embodiment of loss. Through this hollow silhouette, we see an intricate dark background filled with thousands of golden stars. The absence is profound; Pierrot clings to what has been carved out of the moon itself, a symbol traditionally tied to dreams and love.

Pierrot, suspended between the real and the imagined, between presence and absence, embraces the emptiness with quiet, tender acceptance. This evocative scene offers a visual exploration of the unbearable weight of absence and the memories that haunt us. While I hope you’ll connect with the surreal and poetic nature of this emotional tableau, I invite you to reflect on how it resonates with your own experiences, drawing out personal memories of love, loss, and the quiet passage of time.
