PRINT - Woman in Wasp Costume, Costume Illustration, Design, Theater, Opera, Fashion History, Rococo, 1700s, Character, Artwork, Handmade
Bonjour! This is one of my original illustrations, hand-drawn in 2021.
This is a real print that will be send to you, not a digital product! My drawing has been printed on a thick matte paper and measures 8.5" x 11" (US letter size: 215.9 by 279.4 mm). It will arrived unframed, protected in a plastic film, in a hard envelope. The shipping in the USA is included in this price. If you're outside of the USA, the price will adjust automatically.
Please choose between the white background or the tan, slightly texturized, background. Please note that the print with a tan background has a 4 mm white edge all around.
Frames are not included. Actual colors may vary slightly as each monitor displays colors differently.
Please feel free to ask any questions! More about the drawing:
I drew this character by hand and colored it with water-soluble markers and colored pencils back in 2021. She's wearing a wasp hat bonnet with embroideries, a yellow skirt and dress over a petticoat and big panniers. The wasp body is made of black velvet and the wings, attached at the shoulders, are made of organza. This costume design was inspired by 18th and 19th century costume designs. This illustration was initially a part of a series of costume designs for a 18th century comic intermezzo produced by the Boston Early Music Festival.
